How Does the Super-G WiTag Finder work? The Super-G WiTag features a small, energy-efficient Bluetooth transmitter that constantly emits a low-power signal, allowing nearby Apple devices to "hear" it. When your Apple device — the one paired with the device — is within approximately 10–30 meters of the WiTag, it detects the signal and shows you the distance and direction to search. If the WiTag is farther away, any other nearby Apple device can (completely anonymously and automatically) detect it and send its location data to the Find My network. You can then see the approximate location of the device in the Find My app on your Apple device. This is called the "crowd-sourced tracking" - your device is "located" by the Apple user ecosystem, but no one except you can see or know what was found. Only you can view the location of your WiTag. Please note: Super-G WiTag works differently from Super-G Phone-Watch. If there are no Apple devices near the finder, its approximate location cannot be determined. In that case, the app will display the last known location of the WiTag, until any Apple device will register its location and update it on Find my network.
